304 Austenitic Stainless Steel Coil is a versatile and high-performance material renowned for its exceptional corrosion resistance, durability, and adaptability. Composed of chromium and nickel, this alloy offers a perfect balance of strength and aesthetic appeal, making it ideal for a wide range of industrial, architectural, and commercial applications.
Surface treatment and application
Common surface treatment
2B surface: pickled after cold rolling, smooth and glossy, suitable for conventional industrial use.
BA surface: pickled after high temperature annealing, high brightness surface, used for decorative needs.
No.4 surface: mechanical polishing to form a frosted effect, both decorative and scratch-resistant.
8K mirror: multi-pass polishing process, high reflectivity, suitable for high-end decoration or electronic products.
Titanium treatment: titanium alloy plated surface, providing metallic texture and diverse color options.
Typical application areas
Construction industry: curtain walls, handrails, door and window frames (such as the salt spray resistance requirements of Greek coastal buildings).
Food and medical: storage tanks, pipes, surgical instruments (compliant with FDA/EFSA standards).
Industrial equipment: chemical containers, heat exchangers, ship parts.
Consumer products: kitchen utensils, home appliance housings, high-end furniture decoration.
Processing services
Cutting and slitting: Customized width or length as required.
Perforation processing: various shapes such as round holes and square holes, with a hole diameter of 0.4–120mm.
Surface treatment: polishing, brushing, coating (such as PVC/PE protective film).
Advantages and value
Corrosion resistance: better than 200 series stainless steel, suitable for high corrosion environments such as coastal and chemical industries.
High temperature resistance: can withstand high temperatures of 870°C for a short period of time, and long-term working temperatures of up to 500°C.
Easy processing: suitable for stamping, bending, welding and other processes to meet the needs of complex shapes.
Economical: long life, low maintenance cost, and the overall cost is lower than carbon steel or aluminum alloy.
Environmental protection: 100% recyclable, in line with the trend of sustainable development.

Corrosion Resistance | Moderate corrosion resistance, suitable for less corrosive environments. Prone to rusting in humid or corrosive conditions compared to 300 series. | Good general corrosion resistance, suitable for general atmosphere, fresh water and other environments, relatively weak tolerance to chloride ions | Fair corrosion resistance, better than carbon steel but inferior to 300 series. Susceptible to pitting corrosion in chloride-rich environments. |
Magnetic Properties | Weakly magnetic due to its alloy composition | Non-magnetic in the annealed state, may become slightly magnetic under certain processing conditions | Magnetic |
Cost | Relatively low, due to lower nickel content and relatively simple composition | Moderate, as a widely used and reliable grade | Relatively low, similar to 200 series in terms of cost, but with different performance characteristics |
Application Fields | Interior decoration, low-end kitchenware, some decorative trims in buildings where corrosion resistance requirements are not high | Kitchen utensils, building decoration, general industrial components and other daily fields | Appliance housings, automotive trim, some food processing equipment where non-magnetic properties are not required and moderate corrosion resistance suffices |
